RE: MUSIC MAGIC STUDIO POLICY
Though I do not yet have children of my own, I was one of eleven children in my family. Nine of us took music lessons, four of us took dance lessons and four of us were competitive swimmers. All of our teachers had policies similar to the ones I have established. I do not recall a single time that my parents did not strictly adhere to our teachers’ policies; despite the fact that they both worked full time, and my father spent most of his time traveling out of the country for business. This taught my brothers, sisters and me respect for our teachers, a lifelong love for music, and a commitment to all of our endeavors.
By establishing a STUDIO POLICY I am able to meet the needs of all my students equally and fairly. Since the majority of my students are too young to provide their own transportation, I retain the right to cancel students whose parents are not willing to adhere to the policies I have established. I hope you will respect the rules of this business.
TIME: Lessons may be scheduled for either: 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes.
COST: $37 per 30-minute lesson; $47 per $45-minute lesson; $60 per 60-minute lesson
PARENT OBSERVATIONS: All parents/guardians are welcome at any time to observe. However, please be mindful of the student’s lesson when their siblings accompany you.
PAYMENT: There are several options for payment:
Make checks payable at the first lesson of the month to MIA DEPRINCE in the full amount due that month.
Pay at the first lesson of the month, using: Apple Pay, Cash App, PayPal, Venmo or Zelle Quick Pay
If you are paying by cash, total payments for the entire month must be made at the first lesson of the month.
Lessons canceled with 24-hour advance notice will be rescheduled.
Except in the case of a valid family emergency, a student who cancels a lesson with less than 24-hour notice may not be permitted to reschedule the missed lesson.
After more than 3 emergencies within a semester, the student may not reschedule the missed lesson
A student will not receive a refund, nor may the student reschedule a lesson that is missed due to not showing up.
If you are running late for your lesson, please call to let me know if you will be coming. Students are often scheduled back to back, and you will not be permitted to run over your time due to tardiness.
All instrumental students must either rent or purchase an instrument on which they can practice regularly.
Any sheet music purchased for a student for lessons will be billed. Please pay for the music by the following lesson.
